Tri-County Development & Placemaking Manager
Dillon Rush joined the LEAP team in October 2018, taking on the role of Tri-County Projects and Placemaking Manager. Dillon been deeply involved in the leadership of many economic development efforts in the City of Charlotte over the last two-years as Charlotte first became a Rising Tide community, and then a Michigan Main Street community. From organizational development, downtown projects and developments, placemaking projects and initiatives, façade programs, fundraising and events, Dillon possesses a wide breadth of experience within the scope of economic development. In addition, Dillon serves as the current executive director of CharlotteRising.
Dillon is a graduate of the University of Michigan, a “Ten Over the Next Ten” Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce nominee and is a “Conservation of the Year Awardee” for his teamwork with Hayes Green Beach in the development of a farm-to-market, walkable/gardening neighborhood concept.
In his role at LEAP, Dillon works closely with LEAP members and the private and public sector throughout Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties, to provide economic development assistance specifically to the Tri-County communities outside of Lansing/East Lansing. In addition, Dillion leads LEAP's regional placemaking efforts, working with all communities within the Tri-County area.
