ATESTEO North America

ATESTEO selected East Lansing because of the region’s proximity to future automotive customers, the promising partnerships with Lansing Community College and Michigan State University, and the region’s storied automotive spirit.

After multiple site visits and in-depth discussions about site opportunities, community & talent pipeline, support tools and the current & future mobility ecosystem, ATESTEO selected East Lansing as its first headquarters in North America, May 2o22.

The facility is fully operational as of March 2023.

Adestec

• Automation solutions company, Turkey
• Partnered with Michigan State University in 2020 to roll out a full-size, electric Level 4 autonomous bus on campus, the first of its kind.
• Karsan Autonomous e-ATAK bus – one fo the largest electric autonomous transit vehicles every deployed in the U.S. – rolled out in November 2021 and fully launched on campus in Spring 2022, with a 2.5 mile route

Molded Plastics Inc.

• Delhi Township, since 1974
• Fiberglass and thermoplastic products manufacturer for electrical and specialty vehicles, as well as the medical industry
• Employs approximately 35 currently and is doubling its headcount with a recently announced $6.8 million expansion to support EV fiberglass contracts

Norm Fasteners

• Global leader in fasteners manufacturing. Turkish company started in 1973, operating in 9 different countries with more than 2,000 employees
• First U.S. presence in Lansing in 2018 with a small sales office and distribution center, approximately 15-20 people to start
• Has since expanded here into large distribution and is closing in on a largescale manufacturing facility, to employ approximately 200 people.
