Katlyn Lindstrom joined the LEAP team in January 2019 as the organization’s first Marketing Content Manager. Prior to LEAP, Katlyn served as the Web and Social Media Specialist for the Michigan Credit Union League, where she substantially grew the league’s social media presence. She also served as the Marketing and Communication Specialist for the Community Foundation, where she assisted with planning and promoting the foundation’s Penny for Your Thoughts community idea contest.
Katlyn brings several years of digital content strategy to LEAP. She is certified in social marketing through Hootsuite Academy, Inbound Marketing through HubSpot and AdWords Fundamentals through Google Academy. In her role at LEAP, Katlyn assists with a variety of marketing initiatives including social media content strategy and digital content management. Her favorite parts of the job are envisioning and implementing social media campaigns and interviewing community leaders throughout the region for the LEAP Weekly video series.
A lifelong Lansing resident, Katlyn graduated from Michigan State University in 2016 with a double major in creative writing and professional writing, with an emphasis on nonprofit communication and intercultural research. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, a volunteer English tutor with the Refugee Development Center, a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and frequently returns to campus to discuss her postgraduate experiences with current students.
