Lansing Youth Startup Expo

This event is open to any student middle school or high school aged living in the tri-county region of Lansing (Ingham, Clinton, and Eaton Counties). The event consists of business plan contest for student ideas. Students who participate are eligible to WIN scholarship dollars and cash prizes that can be used towards pursuing their ideas. Students who participate in The Generation E Institute, Junior Achievement, 4H, DECA, BPA or any student who is familiar with writing a business plan are welcome to submit.

Participant Registration

Participant registration is open until March 7, 2018.

Chaperone Registration

Registration for teachers and other adults who are accompanying students to the Expo.

Additional Information for Participants:

1. You must submit a business plan through the online portal between November 1, 2017 - March 7, 2018.

2. Business Plans should be 2-pages (maximum) and should consist of:  1. Problem  2. Solution  3. Target Market  4. Marketing   5. Financial Summary  6. Competition  7. Team  8. Why is this good for the Lansing region?  9. Next -Steps

3. Lunch will be served to registered students and chaperones. Students who are not registered for the Expo will not receive lunch.

4. Each student/class/group is responsible for their own transportation to and from to the Lansing Center.
