About AnnaMaria

What is your business/idea?

Provide performing and technical arts classes in an after school program and operate a performing and technical arts school for students and families after hours and on the weekends.

What inspired you to start a business?

2012-2013 The Lansing School District removed all arts classes from the daily school curriculum. I began volunteering musical theater classes which then turned into the formation of my previously known non-profit Hope-Central Urban Arts. For six years we offered 7-9 classes of performing and technical arts classes free to students.

How did you get to the point you are today with this business/idea?

It was a tremendous for my young and growing family to contribute both finances and resources to start the program. Through consistent work and networking with other artists in the Lansing area we provided quality arts education.

What is your vision for the future of your business?

The is to become duplicable onsite at various schools through out Lansing as well as offer additional classes and trainging at our performing and technical arts facility; which would provide streams of revunue for students who are eligible.

What goals do you hope the One and All program will help you achieve?

I hope the One and All program will help me achieve the knowledge to obtain working capital to run the business, an understanding of the laws and expectations of a business in Lansing including taxes, insurance, accounting, the best way to secure a facility and to establish a business that would out live me and impact the Lives of Lansingers for many generations to come.
