About Charlie
Charlie Swan is a senior at Michigan State University from Mason, Michigan. He is studying Economics with minors in Environment, Design & Society and Business. He plans to get a Master’s degree in Community and Economic Development after his time at MSU. After graduation of a Master’s program, his goal is to work for an economic development organization that works to bring in new businesses to an area while also maintaining existing relationships. his core interest is in the field of urban economics, where the city and the economy intersect and work together. During his internship with LEAP, Charlie is most looking forward to developing a strong foundation in the field of economic development and learning how different aspects of an economic development organization work together to produce positive outcomes.
In addition to economic development and urban economics, Charlie likes reading, video games, Marvel and Star Wars. He also likes hanging out with his dog!
