LEAP is set to host the 4th annual Hatched event on Wednesday, November 29 from 6-9 p.m. at the MSU University Club. The Hatched brings winners of LEAP’s monthly business pitch competition, The Hatching, together to compete for a $10,000 grand prize. The eight winners from 2017 who will compete at Wednesday’s event include:

Naomi Gauldin is the founder of Impeccables, a restaurant and bar like Hooters featuring an all-male wait staff clad in form fitting uniforms. Impeccables will specialize mostly in wine and desserts.

Kyle Holsinger-Johnson is the owner of FARE: eat differently. FARE hosts dinner party experiences, pop-up culinary events, and collaborative projects with local businesses.

Alex Reny stole the show with his bright idea, GlowShop. GlowShop lets children turn art in to energy with paintable luminescent solar concentrates.

Maria Nevai owns MOKI Skin Care, a boutique-styled skin care company specializing in luxurious, moisture-rich creams made from natural ingredients that rejuvenate and protect the skin.

Andrez Chuney, a recent Holt High School graduate and former participant in LEAP’s Lansing Youth Startup Expo, is the owner of Escapade VR: a service that helps students find their passions and career path through the assistance of virtual reality job shadowing.

Troy Albrecht is the founder of No-Spill Party Cups, silicon-weighted plastic cups that won’t spill water while playing party games.

Hew Hamilton is the creator of Giggot, an Internet app that connects hosts with local performers and allows artists to promote themselves.

Helena Narowski was this year’s first Hatching winner, with her idea KUDO: an app that allows people to track and log different types of goals, and accompanies the user as they take daily actions that soon become habits.

The Hatched is brought to you by LEAP and sponsored by many community organizations focused on developing and supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the region. The 2017 Hatched Title Sponsor and host is the University Club of MSU.
