About Jessy

Community engagement:

I serve on the East Lansing City Council and numerous local boards. During the first months of the pandemic my shop became a distribution hub for hand-sewn fabric masks and the materials to make them. We estimate that over 300 volunteers were involved in the production of over 20,000 reusable masks.

Entrepreneurial experience:

In addition to my brick and mortar store I also run the Warrior Goddess Training Academy, which is an online support group focused on women’s physical and mental health. Before I stepped back to raise my children I made my living as a professional artist, selling my fabric based art through local Galleries and street fairs.

Professional history:

I have been involved in purchasing and inventory management for the last 20 years, sourcing and merchandising for other local businesses before starting my own brick and mortar shop several years ago.

Tell us about you outside of work:

I am a collector of hobbies, most of them textile based but I also enjoy adventuring in the wilds of Michigan with my husband and our 4 children.

Why did you choose to become a One and All mentor?

I have benefited from the mentorship of more experienced business owners and I would like to continue that chain.
