What is your business/idea?
Helping society through spreading awareness and positive ways of healing and feeling.
What inspired you to start a business?
My son’s diagnosis of hearing loss and gray matter heterotopia is what truly ignited a passion within me to start this whole business endeavor. I wanted more people to know and understand what my son deals with on a daily basis as well as see all of the work he has to put in to communicating with others. My hope is that spreading awareness will get more people to take the time to learn a knew language (ASL) for him and all the other children and adults who cannot communicate verbally. I was already pursuing my degree in Psychology when we received this diagnosis, and I was doing my own meditation because of my own battles. I live with generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder, and I wanted to include this in my business as well because I know I’m not the only one who suffers with this nagging debilitating illness. Tranquil Tribulations has evolved into something bigger than anything I possibly could’ve imagined. My inspiration is spreading awareness and following my passion, which is to help others heal and get through their trials and tribulations in a healthy and beneficial way.
How did you get to the point you are today with this business/idea?
With a lot of research, I was able to narrow down what people generally look for when it pertains to healing crystals and spirituality which helps to decide what products we should sell. I also put myself out there, with the help of my mom, going to pop up shops when I could and doing little giveaways on my page to promote us and get our name out there more. My mom is currently going through her reiki training, she is almost certified and that will also be another huge thing for us once finished. Pretty much a lot of hard work and research has gotten us to where we are now. As well as our general willingness to want to help people.
What is your vision for the future of your business?
I see our business expanding into something never seen before. I am working and will not stop working towards my psychology degree, I want to become a certified therapist as well as a licensed psychiatrist. Our company will be a sanctuary for healing on all levels, mentally and spiritually. This business is my dream and it’s not just something that I started for a side hustle, I have an actual goal and dream here.
What goals do you hope the One and All program will help you achieve?
I honestly am very new to this, I don’t know what it means to run a business financially. So getting help with budgeting as well as getting help with taxes and such is important to us. Marketing is something we could use more help in as well as creating our own personal website.
Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself?
I have been through so much in my life and after my healing process, all I can see is the people suffering. I just want to help them, it’s that simple. I want to be that person I needed during my darkest times for others, I want to be their light and guide them back to living their best life. I want to turn victims into victories and let society know that they are more than what happened to them or what is happening to them. Your future is bright if you accept it and allow it to be.
