About Mary
I am program chair for Insurance and Risk Management and Business, as well as full time professor at Lansing Community College. LCC hired me in 2017 to develop the first associate’s degree program in Insurance and Risk Management in the state of Michigan. LCC also started the first Gamma Iota Sigma Insurance fraternity at a community College in the country in 2019. I am the faculty advisor for those students.
I host a podcast through Spotlight Media Studio called Education Unfiltered. This podcast focuses on all levels of higher education.
Previously, I ran my own Farm Bureau insurance agency in Okemos. I have been fortunate to be actively involved in the community for my entire life. I grew up in Lansing and currently reside in Dansville where I have a small farm.
