Lansing Cityhood

About Michele

Michele Ramon was born an entrepreneur. She is the third generation of a Dutch immigrant from Lansing’s Eastside. She wanted to explore the discussion of community and generate insight on cities through sociological theory and scientific research. In 2019, she piloted Lansingcityhood.com, a news aggregation and reporting site with the purpose to reach thinking people and make them think harder about their city. With no advertising, Lansingcityhood.com received a favorable community response from 54,774 readers who read 752,411 articles the very first year. She continued developing Lansing Cityhood in hopes to help grow community and sustain a culture of inclusivity that represents all people of Greater Lansing. Her vision is to build this business model in capital cities across America. She is hoping that One&All program will assist her in achieving technology development and finding strategies to make the business model sustainable to create employment opportunities for the community.
