MSUFCU Named #1 on 2016 Detroit Free Press Top Workplaces List

EAST LANSING, Mich. — MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) is pleased to announce that it has been named the number one employer in the large employer category on the 2016 Top Workplaces list by the Detroit Free Press. MSUFCU was honored at the 2016 Detroit Free Press Top Workplaces ceremony on Wednesday, November 15, 2016.

MSUFCU has been named on Top Workplaces lists for the past five years, and was ranked number one in the large employer category based on employee feedback regarding its positive work environment and professional growth and development opportunities. MSUFCU President/CEO, April Clobes, served as the keynote speaker at this year’s ceremony and was honored with the Top Workplaces Leadership Award.

Clobes commented, “We are dedicated to providing a positive work environment that allows each employee to achieve their goals and dreams. Being recognized as a Top Workplace is a true honor, as it recognizes how our employees feel about the efforts we take each day to make the Credit Union a place where they are happy and proud to work — a place where they are able to fully live the mission of the Credit Union.”

The Top Workplaces program recognizes leading organizations with best practices that show the highest commitment to their employees and work environment. To be considered, organizations must participate in an employee survey measuring experiences and feelings toward working there and complete a comprehensive report describing the organization’s demographics, culture, and programs. Additionally, the Top Workplaces program recognizes top CEOs and their performance through the eyes of their employees. To be selected, the Detroit Free Press reviews employee comments regarding executive communication, vision, and leadership qualities.
