Pure Michigan Small Business Relief Initiative Grant

About These Grants

$600,000 from the Pure Michigan Small Business Relief Initiative was allocated to the Lansing region by the MEDC. The $10 million initiative was approved by the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF) using funds distributed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to the Michigan Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

The program will be administered statewide by the Michigan Municipal League.

Eligibility

Eligible businesses must have at least two employees, including the owner(s) and fewer than 50 employees (including full-time, part-time, and owner(s) on a world-wide basis in any of the following industries:

  • Restaurants, bars and other food and beverage service providers;
    • Travel and tourism destinations including lodging providers;
    • Live event venues and movie theaters; conference and meeting facilities;
    • Ice skating rinks;
    • Indoor water parks;
    • Bowling centers; and
    • Gyms and fitness centers

Nonprofits are not eligible for these grants.

Distribution of Funds

Funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
