Katlyn joined the LEAP team in January 2019 as the organization’s first Marketing Content Manager. Prior to LEAP, Katlyn served as the Web and Social Media Specialist for the Michigan Credit Union League, where she substantially grew the league’s social media presence. She also served as the Marketing and Communication Specialist for the Community Foundation.
In March 2021, Katlyn was elevated to Marketing Content, Equity Communications and Grants Manager. In this role, Katlyn leads strategic marketing and communications efforts for LEAP’s equity work through DEEP, drives grantseeking strategy and proposal development and assists with a variety of marketing initiatives including social media content strategy and digital content management. Additionally, Katlyn designed and manages LEAP’s intern program.
A lifelong Lansing resident, Katlyn graduated from Michigan State University in 2016 with a double major in creative writing and professional writing, with an emphasis on nonprofit communication and intercultural research. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, a volunteer English tutor with the Refugee Development Center, a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and frequently returns to campus to discuss her postgraduate experiences with current students.
