LEAP Announces 2025 Executive Committee Leadership and New Appointment


LEAP and Local Business Leaders Partner to Increase Economic Prosperity in Lansing Region

Lansing, Mich. (Feb. 13, 2025) —The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) is proud to announce the 2025 Executive Committee, led by newly appointed Board Chair Don McNabb, CEO and Visionary at Triterra. The announcement was made during LEAP’s annual meeting on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

LEAP President and CEO Bob Trezise highlighted the organization’s impactful year, stating, “LEAP and our region are thriving like never before, thanks to the power of partnerships, teamwork, and the exceptional LEAP staff who are the best in the industry. Every member of LEAP, including its Board and the volunteers on our Executive Committee, are committed to seeing our Lansing region reach its full potential for growth, success, and happiness. LEAP exists solely because our members want to see our region compete with the best from around the world and win on behalf of all people and businesses within our three counties.”

Since 2012, LEAP projects have directly generated $7.1 billion in private investment and over 9,000 jobs in the three-county Lansing region. In 2024 alone, LEAP projects brought in over $100 million in private investment and created more than 700 direct jobs, reinforcing the organization’s pivotal role in regional economic development.

New Leadership and Executive Committee Appointment

As the new LEAP Board Chair, Don McNabb brings a wealth of expertise in brownfield redevelopment, environmental consulting, and natural resource management. “It’s an incredible honor to lead LEAP’s Board during such a dynamic period of growth and opportunity,” said McNabb. “I look forward to working with our exceptional committee members to drive economic progress, support businesses, and continue fostering a prosperous region.”

LEAP is also pleased to welcome Margaret Diamond, President of U-M Health Regional Network at University of Michigan Health – Sparrow, to its 14-member Executive Committee. Diamond’s leadership and expertise in healthcare innovation will further strengthen LEAP’s commitment to fostering a robust business environment and regional economic advancement.

Recognizing Lisa Corless’ Impactful Leadership

LEAP extends its deepest gratitude to outgoing Board Chair Lisa Corless, President of AF Group, for her outstanding leadership and contributions. Under her guidance, LEAP achieved remarkable milestones, including:

  • Record-breaking small business and startup growth, driven by the TREK (Tri-County Resource for Entrepreneurs and Knowledge) Small Business Support Hub, a critical resource connecting businesses to funding and technical assistance
  • Strengthening childcare support through the Capital Area Child Care Coalition (CACCC), which was recognized as a state model and secured expanded five-year funding
  • Attracting a major international plastics manufacturer launching its first U.S. operations in Charlotte, Michigan
  • Elevating Lansing’s MedTech sector, gaining national recognition in top business publications
