Casey Paskus (she/her) is the Tech Grants Manager at LEAP, where she ensures grant compliance and supports local businesses in securing funding through programs like the Business Accelerator Fund (BAF) and Local Accelerator Fund (LAF).
Casey studied International Relations and Arabic at James Madison College at Michigan State University. Since graduating in 2017, she has worked across the nonprofit and government sectors. She began her career in DC at KABOOM!, managing a national portfolio of 35 playground grants annually and cultivating her passion for community outreach and relationship-building.
After returning to Michigan, Casey served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member with the Spartan Housing Cooperative, leading a community design process for a new property and coordinating educational webinars.
After her AmeriCorps service term, she became the AmeriCorps VISTA Program Director at the Ingham County Health Department. Over four years, she recruited members and partner organizations, ensured federal grant compliance, and oversaw more than 30 AmeriCorps members placed with local partners such as the Refugee Development Center and Capital Area College Access Network. She also led monthly professional development sessions, supporting member growth and workforce readiness. Under her leadership, the program secured and maintained $375,000 in federal AmeriCorps funding.
Casey is passionate about the greater Lansing area and enjoys supporting small businesses and exploring local parks. In her free time, you can find her reading, gaming, or spending time with friends and family.
