Capital Area Child Care Coalition

Capital Area Child Care Coalition

The Capital Area Child Care Coalition (CACCC) is a group of community leaders in Eaton, Clinton, and Ingham Counties who want to increase the supply of high-quality child care.

The CACCC was awarded the regional child care coalition grant in 2023 via the Early Childhood Investment Corporation’s (ECIC). The ECIC Child Care Innovation Fund received $12.5 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act funding, awarded by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) as part of the Caring for MI Future initiative.

The goal of the coalition is to get everyone who cares about the quality and availability of child care in the same room. All voices will be heard, and with thoughtful conversations and planning, the coalition will gain shared insight and join forces with a shared aim of improving child care in the region.
