Through LEAP’s partnership with Retail Strategies, local businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties can access free on-demand training designed to support real-world business challenges and growth.

- Register through the Small Business Support platform.
- Select the group name: “Lansing Economic Area Partnership Inc.”
- Complete the enrollment questions about your business, including business name, size, and type.
- After enrolling, watch the “Getting Started - Welcome to Small Business Support!” course to learn how to navigate the platform.
- Select one or more learning pathways, including Omni-channel Retail Strategies, Restaurant Resilience Strategies, or Business Modernization Strategies.
- Courses can be completed in order through each learning pathway, or you can browse topics by subject area under the “My Learning” tab.
This program is designed for local businesses, startups, entrepreneurs, retailers, restaurants, and growing business owners in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties. Whether you are just getting started or looking to modernize and grow, participants can choose the learning pathways that best fit their business needs.
Participants receive access to self-paced video training, downloadable resources, discussion forums, and learning tools designed to support real-world business growth and operations.
Participants receive 12 months of unlimited access from the date of enrollment, including new content and resources added throughout the program.

Learn how to better connect with customers across your storefront, website, social media, events, and online sales channels. Topics include digital marketing, social commerce, livestream selling, content planning, and collaborations to help increase visibility, strengthen customer relationships, and grow sales. - Restaurant Resilience Strategies
Strengthen your restaurant business with practical tools focused on operations, financial planning, branding, marketing, leadership, and workforce development. This pathway helps businesses improve efficiency, build stronger customer connections, and support long-term stability. - Business Modernization Strategies
Explore modern tools and strategies that help businesses operate more efficiently and stay competitive. Topics include point of sale systems, artificial intelligence, customer experience, cybersecurity, and theft mitigation to help streamline operations and improve decision-making.

Yes. The platform can be accessed on desktop, tablet, or mobile devices, and participants may also download the LearnUpon mobile app for easier access.
