About Dominic

Dominic Cochran, with over twenty-five years of film industry experience, is a founding partner at Ahptic Film & Digital, Founding Director of the Lansing Public Media Center, and Co-Founder/Co-Director of the Capital City Film Festival.

Upon completing the film program at Lansing Community College, he filmed numerous independent feature films. He filmed all Detroit-area footage for MTV’s BioRythm documentary for superstar Eminem, and was Director of Photography for Nelly Furtado’s number one music video “Do It.” He served as producer of the Miley Cyrus music video “Who Owns My Heart,” which has 200 million YouTube views. He served as second-unit Director of Photography for the New York film Joy Road, official selection of the 2003 Sundance Film Festival, and for Trivial Pursuits starring Chris Parnell of SNL fame and also served as Camera Operator for the feature film Cherry, an official selection of the 2010 South by Southwest Film Festival. He sat on the Michigan State University’s Film and Media Arts Initiative council, Lansing Community College’s media advisory board and Capital Area Career Center’s program advisory committee and is Past-President of the 64th District of America’s Ad Club chapter.
