Inclusive Tech Ambassador

Status: 2 positions available. Open until filled

The Inclusive Tech Ambassadors will lead the effort when it comes to creating welcoming and inclusive environment for the Lansing Regional SmartZone (LRSZ). The main objective for this program is facilitate connections and collaborations between the LRSZ, along with its partner organizations, and the greater community, specifically those of underrepresented demographic groups in technology.

The ITAs are bridge builders and resource navigators for the Lansing Regional SmartZone. They will help draw in new diverse communities to take a part in the offering of the SmartZone. They will additionally help clients and tenants navigate the resources that SmartZone and the greater entrepreneurial ecosystem have to offer.

The ITAs work closely with the SmartZone Director, MSURF Placemaking Manager, and LEAP’s Chief Equity Development Officer.

The ITAs should be able to commit to working approximately between five (5) and eight (8) hours per week/20-32 hours a month.

LEAP offers unpaid project-based internships to current college students, University Fellows, and recent graduates. Positions are available spring, summer, and fall.
