Valerie Christofferson, is the Director of Business Customer Growth & Sustainability for Consumers Energy. In this role, she supports business customers expand and locate across Michigan while providing an exceptional customer experience. In her 15+ years of economic development experience, she has supported small and large customers across Michigan accomplish their goals. Prior to joining Consumers Energy in 2019, Valerie was a Regional Director at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) where she managed a team responsible for retaining and serving business customers across 16 counties in southeast Michigan, including Ann Arbor, Detroit and Flint. Valerie also worked at Ann Arbor SPARK, an organization dedicated to the development of entrepreneurs and established businesses in the greater Ann Arbor region.
