Harrison’s Brewery Recommendations in the Lansing Region

#LEAPactivator Harrison dives into his top Brewery recommendations in the Lansing region.

Looking Glass Brewing Co.

Looking Glass stands out from some of the others on this list by being located in an old church right in downtown Dewitt. Grab a pint and enjoy the stained glass or their truly fantastic front patio. Be sure to hit up the small shops in town or wonder down to the river which is this breweries namesake.

Boss Cider

Boss Cider is a truly special place – with a boho chic vibe and truly amazing ciders, even those who don’t typically enjoy hard cider can find something here. A personal favorite of mine is their WERK PERK cider which brings the flavors of cold brew coffee and dry cider. The food is great and a wonderful half way to spot to meet friends and colleagues between Lansing and Jackson.

Ozone’s Brewhouse

Can anyone say pomegranate, goat cheese brussels sprouts? Ozone Brewery located at the far end of Old Town Lansing is a soccer focused brewery. Not only can they deliver a fantastic brew (give the Chulligan a try) but also the opportunity to chow down on some amazing food from their very own Fire Food Truck. As a soccer fan, I love that this place provides an American take on a classic pub feel to watch the game with friends.

Ellison Brewery and Spirits

Ellison continue to grow in our region – from their tucked away first location in East Lansing to their fantastic new space in REO Town, the team over at Ellison continues to grow our regional beer ecosystem. For those who are not just beer drinkers they also offer their own spirits!

Sleepwalker Spirts And Ale

As you might be able to tell by now breweries that have fantastic foods are hard to beat. If you are looking for a great place to end your walk from Ellison, I highly recommend checking out SleepWalker which is a microbrewery with some of the best pizza in town. Enjoy their patio out front and watch the world go buy under the watch of Lansing famous Erikson stacks.
