LEAP Continues Commitment to Inclusion & Diversity

Annual Diversity & Equity Statement Signed & 2017 Regional Diversity Star Award Presented

LANSING, Mich. – Continuing its commitment to inclusion and diversity, the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) presented its 3rd Annual Regional Diversity Star Award to Foster Swift at its Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at MSU Federal Credit Union, East Lansing, MI.  LEAP recognizes companies like Foster Swift who demonstrate best practices in creating a diverse and welcoming place where global talent wants to work and succeed, which has a direct impact on our local economy.

“Foster Swift is so honored to receive LEAP’s 2017 Regional Diversity Star Award. We believe that a diverse workforce better serves our clients and greatly enhances the quality of our workplace. We know that we need to strive to continually evolve, to reflect the changing expectations and norms of the community we serve. Receiving the Diversity Star Award  gives us confidence that the efforts of our Diversity Committee and firm leadership have not only enhanced Foster, Swift – they have improved the Lansing region that we are proud to call ‘home,’” said Webb “Tony” Smith, Chair of Foster Swift’s Diversity Committee.

Furthering its commitment to ensuring a diverse and inclusive culture, 2018 LEAP Board Chair April Clobes, President & CEO, MSU Federal Credit Union and Bob Trezise signed the LEAP Annual Diversity & Equity Statement on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. “This statement signifies the importance LEAP places on inclusion, not only in its own practices, but in their commitment to ensuring the Lansing region remains a welcoming and affirming destination,” said Tedi Parsons, Director of Diversity & Inclusion, LEAP.
