Chris Bagwell began his railroad career with Mississippi Export Railroad, advancing from tie gangs to track foreman. Recruited by Canadian National/Illinois Central Railroad, he supported freight and intermodal operations. After 9/11, Bagwell joined the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Iraq and earning a Purple Heart. Returning to rail at Great Lakes Central Railroad, he rose to President. Bagwell received accolades like NS Short Line of the Year, CSX Transportation Largest Railroad Growth, and Progressive Railroading’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2013. Now overseeing Adrain & Blissfield Railroad Company, he holds a business degree from Baker College.
